Questions about the offset of a 2009 Mustang GT

I am about to purchase a 2009 Mustang GT and I was wondering what would be the perfect offset for 20" and 22" rims and would I need to cut or do anything different to the actual car.

Can’t answer that question until the wheel width is known. Offset is proportional to the wheel width.

The most popular wheel width combo’s are 9.5” all the way around or 9” front and 10” rear.

Waiting on 2019 GT500

I wouldn't put 22 inch rims on a mustang it's a little too big and may cause problems with alignment ad wheel wear. And I agree that 9 in the front and 10 in the rear.

2008 GT/CS stock with SLP Loudmouth Axel Back exhaust with JBA shortie tuned headers. 2010 style smoked tail lights.

The width will be 9 for 20's and if I decide to get the 22's, it will be 9.5. What would be a good offset if I wanted it to look even and not stick out at all?

for the 20's I would shoot for +45 offset, a lower + over 35 is likely to look near stock as well..

2003 GT - KB 2.1 - 90mm LMAF-focus pump, Kooks L/T's, 360hp/375tq, koni's all around, k-frame, upper/lower CA's, full Steeda susp.. 17x9" and 10.5's black bullits with 315's out back. nothin but chrome under the hood.. Goes, turns and stops!!
