SLP Line Lock Switch???

okay so i have already installed all of the hardware and sucked all the air out of the brake lines. my question is about the switch is setup. Per the slp instructions it has the the positive connector being ran from the fuse box and the ground being ran through switch.

I dont want the linelock to be controlled from switch that flipped on and off, i got a button that is pressed in for on and as soon as you let go it is turned off. For a normal none lighted button the ground wire would work perfectly fine for this. but my pressed button has a blue light around which requires power.

My question is would it be okay to reverse the hook up. have the ground hooked straight into the sylanoid and have my power run through the switch.

i would think it would be okay but i dont know if the sylanoid requires contant power. any help with this would be great.

I tried that to for the same reason, it just blew fuses... I had to go back to the negative switch at my button.

You can make it work like you want with a simple 12 volt relay. Break your negative wire going from ground to the line lock solenoid through the common and normally open contacts on the 12 volt relay. Run a 12 Volt power wire through your switch and connect it to one side of the relay coil and connect the other side of the relay coil to ground. It your switch is grounded the light on it will light up when it is on. Also when you mash the switch, it will send 12 volts to the relay coil and close the normally open contacts that completes the ground circuit for the line lock solenoid.
