Instrument Cluster Upgrade 2006 -> 2007 GT

Hi folks, I purchased an used instrument cluster for my 2007 Mustang GT at ebay, since my ride came without originally the Interior Upgrade Package (IUP). As most of you probably know you can upgrade the "on-board vehicle computer " just by replacing the instrument cluster and adding the memory switch. That's what my plan was so far, so I purchased the following cluster: 2006 Ford Mustang GT Instrument Cluster, less 40k miles: eBay Motors (item 280574317380 end time Oct-13-10 09:27:38 PDT)

After a little bit of thinking I am wondering if the cluster will work in my Mustang, since the one I purchased comes from a 2006 Mustang GT. AFAIK the 2006 Mustangs doesn't have the Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

Do you guys think it will work anyway or do I have to expect any problems.

Looking forward to hear your opionion.

Artur from Germany

Since the instrument cluster talks to the car through the CAN network my guess is at the very least your new cluster will not display TPMS messages (might not be a bad thing ). Worst case it will not work at all.

Too much to list and nothing really that great. If interested check out my profile.
Numbers are just that...numbers.
