Broken COP Connector

As I was reconnecting the coils after replacing the spark plugs, the locking tab on one of the connectors broke. I wrapped 3M Super 33 electrical tape around the connector where it meets the coil as a temporary fix, but I'd like a proper fix.

I saw kits online that include the connector body, seals, and terminals, but I've never worked with them. Has anyone ever repaired these connectors? I searched, but I couldn't find anything regarding repairing them. Thanks.

kids96gt,

It is the connector on the harness that broke. The coil is fine. I should have been more clear in my original post.

oh, ok. do you know if the harness is the same from a 99-04? if so i can get you the harness.

or possibly try a junk yard and find a cops motor and cut the connector off and replace it?

I ended up buying a kit on ebay to rebuild the broken connector. It wasn't easy to get the terminals transferred, but it was worth not cutting up the harness.

Try zap strapping the coil connector to the coil pack.
