understand, each to his own of course . . . I was explaining because I see that a lot ("CAI's that don't require a tune are no good") and I was trying to be clear about why and when a tune is required, and what other improvements there can be . . . agreed a CAI that requires a tune is "better" . . .

I wish somebody would give me an e-force!

Yanks1, I was trying to say that a CAI that does not require a tune can be a good improvement, just not "as good" as one that does. One great thng about a CAI that does not require a tune, is that you can load the factory tune if you need to -- like if your local dealer is picky about tunes, or if you need to go to the factory tune for emmissions inspection

JBurt... thanks and i hear you. I don't want the added expense of a mandatory tune, my wife will not be happy!! ouch. Plus I don't want or need any added stress over whether I can pass NJ emissions. I am already stressed enough over my job & Real Estate (house & beach Condo). I do not need to stress over whats suppose to be a fun play car. Iam thinking of either the K&N or Airaid since neither requires a tune plus I can stay on 87 Octane.

enjoy weekend all

"My Daily Driver requires premium, so don't want the Mustang to also require Premium."
This is baffling to me.
I understand avoiding the overall cost of the tuner, but doesn't the daily see all the miles and the fun car get uses sparingly. Whats an extra $10 a month for the fun car. maybe get a DD that uses regular. Maybe get a tuner for your DD that would detune to use regular!
My DD requires mid grade minimum and the Stang is in premium only.

I don't own a snow shovel.
