Tune question for an auto GT

I have a 2008 automatic GT. I wanted to get a CAI and a custom tune. I can't decide between a SCT with a bama tune or a brenspeed tune. Anyone have an auto with a custom tune? Or does anyone know a good place in LOs Angeles that does a dyno tune?

PS. Can you change the gear ratio on an automatic? Or just a manual?

Either tune will do great, and you can't change the gear ratio per say, but you can change the final drive, in otherwords the rear end.

Any good tuner should be able to help you out. Autos can be a little tricky, due to the PCM controlling everything. But being able to firm up the shifts, it's a nice feeling!

A CAI and Tuner are a great place to start with your car. Its by far the best bang for the buck. As far as custom tuning a 3V goes, the automatic definitely shows a HUGE improvement. Not only can we tune the engine with our normal custom tune changes (which are HUGE), but we can also adjust the transmission settings as well. This truly changes the way the car feels and will leave you with a smile on your face. We have been custom tuning the automatic GTs since Dec 2004 with great success and we also have free tunes for life as long as you purchase the parts from us. Feel free to give us a call at 574.594.9559 if you have any questions. We are here to help!

Thanks,
Chandler

Joevfx,

Great choice, My first recommendations to anyone entering the modification game is CAI & Tune. We've had great results from all of our intakes, Airaid & JLT are a few of our customer favorites!

A great advantage to ordering with Bama is our Free Tunes For Life Program! Every time you add a new modification & need an updated file, just hit us up & we'll Email you a revised file within a few hours!

For each and every Bama Tune, we ask you 19 questions about your specific Mustang, including your unique set up and intended use, in an easy to use web form. This information allows us to write an entirely custom tune just for your specific vehicle to ensure we deliver the most power and performance possible.

Our Bama Custom Tunes are developed in-house on our Dynojet 224xLC chassis Dyno. We've put in Hours of research and development through street, track and dyno testing/datalogging which left us with fully refined custom tunes. The Bama Performance team has exclusive access to our inventory of parts. We're also part of Fords Technology Transfer Program & Work very closely with Ford to insure that all of our tunes are perfect!

Mustangs with Automatic transmissions actually benefit more! The files are further enhanced by making adjustments to the transmission's shift points and firmness.

This is just the beginning of what American Muscle/Bama has to offer you. I'm confident that you'll be very happy with the tunes from whatever company you go with, however if you want to give Bama a shot feel free to up me up for further assistance! We'd love the opportunity to build a relationship with you.

Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 10AM-3PM EST, you can reach them at 888.226.9764.
