ugh I am sick from a cam install....

I talked to Anderson Motorsports about my setup.. 9.2 lbs supercharger, LT's, 3200 Hughes billet convertor and 4.10's. Brian suggested me go with their AF F43 cams for forced induction. I knew I needed phaser lockouts, but according to him ( stock )valve springs would be fine... No way to really know, dont publish cam specs. I talked to my turner and setup a day to drop the car off. He gets the new convertor in no problem, I then find out that there is a problem with the cam install... Cams caused the valve springs to go into coil bind.... popped a keeper out and bent a valve.. This was with BBR phaser lockouts.. I know my turner didnt mean to make my car a 3500 lb paper weight.. A two day affair had already turned into over two weeks and he still has too pull the passenger head , send it off to machine shop have valve guide reinstalled. I would have absolutely chose a different cam if I knew all this from hind sight. I am just hoping the pistons don't have small stress cracks that would be hard to see with a naked eye... I told the wife think I am done playing with this one...

they can be a challenge...it literally took about 4 years to get my Kenne Bell completely dialed in...then it needed a rebuild, oh just another couple grand...it's why I tell people just buy the GT500 or Terminator

I am trying to find the silver lining, but dont think I have found it just yet.. I even thought for a fleeting moment to sell my 86 foxbody to fund a forge short block with ported heads.. I just don't want to do something in haste... It does kinda suck ; cause when the car is home it's in the garage at the shop it's out in the open with bird $hit all over it... Just not very Happy..
