check engine light P2020 poor performance above 4000 rpm

Hello,

sometimes, on time a month, i got a check engine light with a p2020 code. I know it concern that : Intake Manifold Runner Position
Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance.

I got poor performances above 4000 rpm when the default code comes. That's normal. But when i delete the default code, immediately the car runs like rocket.

What is the link between the delete of the defaut code and the issue ? To delete the defaut code is not to fix an issue ! Any idea ?

The car is stock.

That code and the performance loss above 4K rpm's indicate the charge motion control plate mechanism is not functioning properly. It normally opens partially at lower rpm's to reduce emissions and increase engine torque, and it opens fully at higher rpm's to increase hp. Problems that can occur with it are the mechanism sticks due to carbon build up, or the sensor or the actuator goes bad.

After some research i found that i will probably have to buy a new intake manifold The thing is that i can't reproduce it each time.
So thanks for your answer !
