2008 gt to sit beside my 02 lightning

just bought a 08 gt and was looking for some advice on the cars limits. i plan on doing some common bolt ons and cam it but was curious of how far i could go. can i get 400 to 450 rwhp with out getting to deep? clueless and curious!! thanks for all the input.

Forced induction is the best bang for your buck if you're looking for horsepower in general and will get to 450 rwhp which is generally where our engines limit is unless you begin to build the engine

N/A you won't be able to reach those hp goals to the rear wheels. A few people have gotten close to 400 rwhp N/A but it is nowhere near cost effective. Forced induction is the best bang for the buck, but 450 rwhp is about all the stock internals can safely take.

Yeah for the stock block and internals, about 500-550 at the crank, and 550 is pushing it far. And as others have said, FI is pretty much the only way to get there.
