Magnaflow Catted X pipe questions

I have a 07 GT with Flowmaster axle backs ( the quiet ones ) and Ford Racing shorty headers and I'm looking to buy a Magaflow catted X pipe.... My question is how loud do you think it will be? Is this a good piece to buy... It should, it cost $600.00....Does anyone have this setup? If so, How do you like it?

Any and all input is thankful!:shiny:

I WISH I COULD GET RID OF THE KNOCKING NOISE IN MY FRONT END. I'M TIRED OF SPENDING MONEY ON IT... IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have pretty much the same setup: BBK shorties, full length Magnaflow (catted X-pipes, mufflers). It's loud, but only "too loud" when I'm running in my garage. Everyone who hears it thinks it sounds great, even little old ladies at church tell me it sounds good. Honest!! No one in my neighborhood ever complains; most of them don't even look up when I go by...

I'm not sure what the dredded "droning" sounds like, but my convertable is loud with the top down. I can hear the radio just fine, but I can definately hear the exhaust, too. On acceleration it's awesome!!

Hope this helps.

I bought a Magnaflow catted X used for $300. It is a nice unit, and fits very well. And yes it is DEFINITELY louder than the stock H pipe, those high flow cats make a big difference!

I actually ended up cutting the factory H pipe and putting the H behind the Magnaflow's catted downpipes...prefer that sound, but everyone has their own preference!
