Whats the different tire sizes I cant install on my 18s

Whats are the different tires sizes I can install on my factory 18 inch chrome bullets????...I really want to put on a wider tire on the rear and try to keep same or close to the same height as the fromt 235-50-18....

I WISH I COULD GET RID OF THE KNOCKING NOISE IN MY FRONT END. I'M TIRED OF SPENDING MONEY ON IT... IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best answer is……..depends.

It depends on what tire you are looking at. Tire manufacturers will list a recommended rim width for a specific tire. For example in most cases you will find that most tire manufacturer will spec their 275mm wide tires out to run on a 9-10” rim. That doesn’t mean that all manufacturers recommend the same rim width for the same size tire though. You want to search around and see what manufacturer has what.

You want to stay within the manufactures recommended rim width though. If you go outside that range you will lose tire performance/durability. For example, if you put a tire that is too wide for the rim on you will have less traction than if you ran the narrower tire that was recommended.

Best place I have found to shop for tires is Tire Rack. They have all the specifications listed.

Sqidd pretty much covered it . . . So, you need to know how wide your wHeels are; I think they are 8.5 but you can tell for sure by taking one off and looking at the back, the size should be stamped on there

Then look up tires on tirerack and check the "specs" for recommended wheel width

Also if you want to stick with your bullets you may want to widen the rim. You can google it to find out how to widen the rim. there are companies out there which you send your rim to them and they add an inch to the size of your rim so you can put larger tires on them. I've seen discussions on this forum before regarding widening your rims.

Bullits are dime a dozen, if you really want a staggered look, upgrade your rear wheels to 10" wide, shouldnt run more than 300 for the rims. Then you can fit 275-305 size tires.

I had my rears done by Weldcraft. They aren’t cheap though. If I were running Bullets I would just go with wider replacement rims, cheaper and far, far easier.
