A non-stick sealing gasket makes for easier installation and removal.

I got a bug up my butt and bought a Ford Racing oil filter for twice what I usually pay for my usual brand.

My assistant (son) hand tightened it after I put a coating of Mobil 1 on the "non-stick sealing gasket". He has hand tightened dozens of other brands on several motor vehicles with no problems.

After two weeks and a few hundred miles a guy in a ricer waived to me and told me he saw smoke coming from under my hood. Sure as crap I had oil spewed out on the left side of my engine.

The easier to remove filter had come loose and I was 3/4 of a quart to the wind. Thank you ricer, they are not all bad .

Which is why I either buy regular Motorcraft filters, or, for easier removal, the K&N wrench-off oil filter.
