First tune going in: put battery on charge?

Ill be putting my first tune into my ride tonight. Seems like I read that it is best to have a slow/trickle charger on the battery while doing this. Is that correct?

I didn't and my battery is original in my 07. As a matter of fact I just returned it to stock for emissions and got home and retuned for the 93 race tune, no issues.

I went ahead and put the charger on there while I installed the tune. It is the original battery ('06GT) so I didn't want to chance it.
I should have done the tune and CAI long ago! What a difference.

Yeah, it's like crack. The only problem is being able to afford what I want to do lol.

I should have gotten myself a nice cheap cocaine/heroin habit and become a junky while I still had the chance instead of modding mustangs. At least that would cost less and I could quit whenever I want to.:kooky:

Congrats on your "gateway drugs" though! I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of you!

I've never heard that. Just follow the instructions for loading the tune your battery will be plenty fine.

If you can quit now, do it. I've probably spent more on modding my car than the car is worth and there is no end in sight

I do mine off the battery, but you know SOMEBODY has done it with a not-so-good battery and partially loaded the tune into the ecu and jacked it up.

I went with the SCT from AM/BAMA. Running the 89 hybrid tune. It's pretty rad. I also got a 93 hybrid tune that I haven't tried yet. I was running 89 anyway (I was getting occasional ping with 87 on the stock tune). No issues at all with the BAMA tune.

Haha...I'd love to do gears, just not sure how much benefit I'd see going to 3.73 over the 3.55 factory. I drive too much highway to go to 4.10s.
I'm probably going to do springs next and perhaps a shifter. CMC deletes maybe?
