Need help with underdrive pulley install

I have Steeda U/D pulley setup I want to install, and according to instructions it says to remove stock lower pulley w/3 jaw puller. My question is where to grab onto the pulley, inside or outside? If you pull on the outside, won't you seperate the ring from the rubber? Any help would be appreciated.

3-jaw puller: get a small one (3" or 3.5") from Autozone (free rental).
The jaws go inside the slots around the crank bolt.

pull out the crank bolt, take off the washer, and rethread the crank bolt until it's finger-tight.

Take a 1/4"drive socket (7mm will do) and put it on the end of the 3-jaw puller so that the puller's bolt will spin in the socket while the socket rests against the head of the crank bolt.

As you begin turning the bolt, it will push against the crankbolt and simultaneously pull the pulley out. It may take more turning than you thought...

If you run into any snags, POST HERE before you let yourself get aggravated!

OH BY THE WAY:

if you've got a 5spd stnrd tranny, you do NOT need to put the car up on lifts...

OH, AND ANOTHER THING:
You might want to read through the thread I had started about it a couple weeks back....

OH, AND ONE MORE THOUGHT...
...forget it. I'll just shut up and let you do it.
