I have read many problems bout the TR3650's Grinding into second gear. Ford Put out A TSB for cars build before, 09/05? My car was built after that.
I am having these problems
1) On a Moerately heavy, quick shift into second, it seems to snag second gear. I beleive this to be a damaged synchro and / or blocker.
Any one have any experience with this?
2) The Main concern. While coasting, under load Acceleration, or Load decelerating, I feel clicking from the shifter. Also, if i whack the gas and let it load and unload quickly, it feels like a worn U Joint. A load, defenitive clunk. If i quickly shock-load the transmission in reverse, it makes a nasty clunk. I have complained to ford 6000 miles ago that this transmission was making a scraping, whining type noise, whcih has since gone away with the use of a pro 5.0 and Roal Purple Synchromax oil. As for the noise, i am sure It is from the transmission- Jacked the car up, and rotatied the tires with the trans
in 1st. Alotta of clanking noise coming from the trans
Any one with any experience with this? Broken or damaged coutnershaft maybe? let me no
