Squeaks and Rattles Help Need on a 2007 GT

I replaced the exhaust with a Bassani X Pipe and Race Axle Backs for the 2007. When down shifting or on low rpms the actual hanger begins to vibrate silly causing a rattle in the hanger. The sound is quite annoying, the exhaust is on snug but its happening randomly and is driving me crazy. Anyone have an ysuggestions?

It probably doesn't happen, ever, when you first start driving?

If it onlyhappens after the car warms up, the exhaust is getting longer and one of the bent rods, that hold the muffler in the car's rubber-mounted hanger is rubbing. That's what happened to me, anyway.

Super easy to fix.

Take a big pair of channel locks and bend the hanger away from the place that rubs, or loosen the pipes and shove them in a little farther. Whichever makes you happier.

2006 Black, GT, spoiler delete, five speed, leather, custom welded straight pipes with resonators, sequential turn signals, Hurst Pro Performance shifter. FRPP 4.10s with Motive bearing kit, Spydershaft one piece aluminum driveshaft, w/ Spicer 1330 U-joints, Steeda UCA and LCAs, chrome moly panhard rod. bye bye wheel hop, hello traction! SCT XCalII, BBK CAI, ZEX 100 shot.
I've written a book or two. Google David Buschhorn to laugh at my scribblings.

+1 on JB's comments. You'll need to isolate when hot. Exhaust components can move an inch or more when hot.

Thanks for the thread. I noticed some serious vibration noise today after installing SLP LMs a couple days ago. When I installed, I purposely extended the exhaust tips about 1 1/2 inches out from the bumper cutouts so that the SLP logo would be clearly visible. Plus, I think it just looks kewl. After reading this post, I pushed them back to make sure there was plenty of clearance between the hanger rods and any body part to allow for heat expansion based on JB's post. Will advise if this worked.
