Maintenance on a CAI and tune package

I know there is probably nothing to maintain with the tune, but what about with the CAI? do i need to clean and lube it every so often?

I also wanted to know, what kind of CAI do you recommend for a daily driver? no street or track racing involved. Which in your opinion would be the best?

Get yourself a K&N cleaning/reoiling kit. I know some filters say they can go for 50K but I clean mine around every 12. I think either the C&L or the JLT II would good for you. I've run them both.

I was told by C&L it doesn't need to be cleaned until 50k.

I have a K&N kit awaiting that day.

As easy as it is to clean the C&L, I too clean mine every 12k...why chance it?

I actually have two filters that I rotate. That way I have no downtime waiting for one to dry.

STL, you da man. Always thinking ahead. BTW, what did you figure out when you thought your tune was going bad? Mine has been acting up lately.
