Any love for the stock Mustang GT rims.

Googling paint mustang rims. There is no shortage of the bullit types painted all kinda colors.Same with the shelby type but I have yet to find 1 of anyone painting or doing anything to the stock base GT rims.
When cleaned and shiny in sun they look fairly good.
Clearly the masses have no love for this rim and they are not that bad looking.

I prefer the 18" wheels that come with the 051A package offered with the V6 and a $150.00 option on the standard GT.

they are not that bad but I don't like them at all. ive been looking for anything that looks better but am prone to the bullitt style as my first choice. ive seen one set on local CL that was plastidipped/sprayed matte black and I think it made them look even worse. they are good for mounting race tires on tho if you go down that road.

Lots of bolt on goodies...

My 08 GT, bought used, came with the "fan blade" rims, which I don't care for. the Bullitt style would be my first choice. The stock GT rims are OK, and if I had them, I'd have them polished.

They're not terrible, and yes when they are clean they pop. I just think at 17" they look too small for this car, even when it is lowered. Now if they were 19" or 20" (like in the GT Concept pic you posted), I might be singing a different tune... That being said, I can't wait to change mine out, gotta wait till next year though. Dumped too much money into her already this year

I have those from my Stang (they're stacked in my shed). They were a complete pain in the rear to clean and a little bit of brake dust made them look bad. Cleaned up they do look nice, and I've seen a few people plastidip them, but apart from using them as emergency spares, I doubt I'll be putting them back on anytime soon.

Personally I had an '05 GT with those wheels and I hated them with a passion. It's all subjective, but to me they looked cheap, they were extremely hard to clean, and I didn't feel like they matched up with the rest of the car at all.

However, that's just me. To each their own.

I have the GT - California special with special 19 x 8.5 and I love mine. The previous owner had some problems here and there and there are some nicks and scratches behind the spokes. Looks like all the paint was scratched off on 2 in one area. I never noticed until I really literally sat down and started scrubbing and polishing them. Some day I would like to replace them but I really like the stock wheels and I've looked everywhere and they just can't be had. Here is a picture of them.

The black Bullitt ones are probably the closest to what I like other than these. I wonder if I could have them fixed by someone......Thoughts anyone? Has anybody else with a 2014 GT/CS Premium sold theirs for different wheels and tires?

Correct. The machined wheels were an extra cost option.

I was thinking of getting a can black plasti and masking off the silver spoke section and paint the inner section black....something like this..
Main reason I want to keep them is If I do buy rims I wanna go 18x10's in rear and 18x9's in front.Tires alone for rear will be like almost $600 for a set of 285's..maybe 295's..
The tires on now are almost brand new. If I do buy new rims they will be bigger ..so just probably drive these untill tread is low or something then ..even though I want the 18x10 staggered look realistically Ill probably go 18x9 deep dish with 255's all around..Be much cheaper.

Thanks for clearing that up for me... Crazy to think that uglier rims cost more money...
