If we set aside the lack of logic behind naming a car or any other inanimate object. (Why name it? Will it come to you if you call it?) And go with the emotional link we car lovers have with our special cars. Then we can consider appropriate names:

If you spend a lot on endless mods: The Money Pit
Nah. Should already be taken by stlwagon or tached out.

If it shines 'cause you spend more time cleaning than driving: The Dazzler
Probably taken by myltlpny or FuzzyDice or JudisStang.

If it's stranded you more than once: That Piece of (expletive deleted)
That certainly could be one of the most popular names.

Basically you have two real choices:
If you truly love your car, name it after your ultimate dream girl.
If it is unreliable and drives you crazy, name it after an ex-wife or ex-girlfriend.

My wife calls mine "his girlfriend". The closest I have come to naming it is"Pegasus". The winged horse.

An 8 year old boy who is the son of a friend named mine. One day he called it "The Blue Beast." I guess compared to the minivan his mother drives, it is a beast. By the way, it isn't just a car, its a Mustang!
