Tire Help

Hello,

I have 18x7.5 Rims. I currently have 225/40/18's in the front and 245/40/18's in the back. Not big or wide enough in the back.

I am going to move the 245/40/18's to the front. What will work in the back. I still want bigger tires the the back in regards to height and width. Will these work with 18x7.5 wheels?

265/45/18
265/40/18
255/45/18
255/40/18
245/45/18

If they all work, which one do you think will look the best?

Thank you.

what wheels do u have that are only 7.5" - very strange for a S197

255/40/18 is about the widest IMO u could go if the wheel is that small, and it'll bulge a bit

I know.

I took them off my old Mitsibishi Eclipse. 255/40/18 sounds good, but would that increase the wheel/tire height? Filling in the gap and getting rid of the 4x4 look is more important to me than wider tires. Would 245/45/18 work?

and u put them on a Stang!!! Heresy!!!

255/40 is smaller then stock by about 1.25", 255/45/18 is 27" and .25 smaller. Both a bit big for a 7.5" rim IMO
