Results with the new 2.8L KB Mammoth

I completed the install of my 2.8L KB Mammoth this last week. We dyno'd on Staurday.

YouTube - StrictlyPro.com - Eric Tinnerman's 2.8H Kenne Bell Mammoth

Here's a copy of the dyno:

I broke it in by driving around Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Such I'm such a patient person I didn't want to take it to the track till next week (yeah right) but my friend and tuner insisted. Here are a couple quick videos:

This Kenne Bell has me really excited!! The car has already matched it's old times in the 1/8th with just the brake in tune!! I can't wait to turn this thing up!!!

This is what happens when the car launches and you don't turn off the wheel speed sensors! A little trial and error is to be expected I guess!

It ran a 6.63 in the 1/8th on the brake in tune. it also improved it's 60' by .005 which is huge! I think when we're done with the shortblock, heads and cams we are looking for low 9's given what we are seeing now!

Cool, you have mean beast man. Good luck getting those low 9's. Before you know it you'll get into 8's most likely for sure

Thanks guys!

Like I said this blower has me really excited! These are the numbers I was running on the Eaton with nitrous!! As soon as we get the block swap done and it broken in we plan to spray this blower also.....think I might have to put in a delay box. I have been spraying out of the whole but the runs above were at 16 to 17lb's boost. This car is going to be crazy at 26lb's....way to much to spray out of the whole!

That's me in the car!

The only other person that drives it is Richard and that's if we have an issue I can't explain to him and he needs to experience it himself.

I know some poeple that don't drive their own cars at the track for health reasons. However, I also know a guy thats 74 and has a low 9 second ride and drives it himself. We were at a Fun Ford event recently and this gentlemen was driving. He had a problem with the input shaft on the trans. Richard told the mechanic to just push the seal back in and let him go. The mechanic argued that the trans could get hurt bad if not trashed and Loyd (the 74 year old) should just drop out and wait till next time. Richards response......We don't know how many, next times, loyds got, so get the car ready!!!

That is awesome Eric. I was thrown off when you said Richard was driving now I understand. I thought it was you who drove the car at the big events. That was a great story about Lyod,74 years old wow. That is like a couple of guys over here , they still got it.They can out drive a lot of these younger drivers too.
I just love to read about you and your car. I can not wait to hear more about the new block and your races. I wish you all the best.

Yeah, I guess it does get confusing at times! Richard Lelsz drives the SSO car. He also owns Strictly Performance here in Houston. He does the work on my blue car. I own a company that sponsors his SSO car and crew for him. When I take my car out he crews for me. He's the guy in the pictures and video in the white shirt and crew cut.
