i had originally decided on a racecarfactory ram air hood
(the 67 style on the lime green stang)
Mustang Fiberglass

then i was on maier racing pricing out fender flares for a fox. i ran across a hood for the s197. Welcome to Maier Racing

my friend said that the larger hood scoop on the maier hood would blend better with the large cervini side scoops im buying..i couldnt argue one bit with that

so he said..buy both hoods..cut off the scoop portion on the maier hood and graft it into the RCF67 hood. he even had an idea where i could retain the ram air effect of the hood

so, do you think it would look good? if you have a hard time visualizing it..picture the green hood with a larger scoop and no heat extractors

oh..btw, my friend works at a audio shop and does alot of fiberglass enclosure work..so tweaking a fiberglass hood would not be a big task for him
I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the ram air concept. There isn't a hood or scoop made for the S197 that will truly do ram air. Only if you added a scoop 12" above the laminar flow would you see any ram air effect.
