K&N CAI for 2005+Mustang

Is it recommended to install a CAI if I live in dusty weather with a lot of soft sand and very hot weather around 45C in Summer.

I was tolled if I install a CAI instead of the stock air filter there might be a possibility that some dust might inter inside the engine.

And what is the normal period that I should clean my CAI.

And after few months or few yeas should I change my CAI.

Sorry for asking too much.

Thanks a lot in advance.

With a good filter it's not a problem. I would think you'd need to clean/re-oil every 8000-10000 miles with all the dust & sand (I spent 8 months in Riyadh during the 1st war ).

I was there from September 1990 until April 1991. Didn't get to see too much of the city since I was working 16-18 hours a day. I enjoyed my time there though.
