Finally cleaned the throttle body

Well after one of our discussions about a month ago about cleaning the throttle body I finally took the time to take mine off and clean her out. I stopped by Autozone, picked up a $4 bottle of cleaner, removed the TB and sprayed it out. It has never been cleaned before(40k) and I could tell it. It had more build up then I even imagined. It was an easy process, took less then an hour, and I could notice a difference after I got done. I had been noticing a substantial throttle lag, and on the test drive it wasn't nearly as bad. Overall an A+ experience and I reccommend everyone here to clean it.

I usually clean mine every other oil change unless I suspect problems.

I notice throttle lag and another weird symptom. In cold weather, as I pull up to a stop, just as the car stops, the engine revs slightly. Revs are at idle all teh way to the stop, then just as the car completely stops a tiny rev to maybe 1200-1300RPM.

Clean the TB and it goes away.

I've written a book or two. Google David Buschhorn to laugh at my scribblings.

I need to clean the TB on my F-150. It's never been done. Then again, with over 100k miles, the entire engine could use a flush.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
