no more battery problems

I turn the radio off all the time now before the engine is shut off and no more dead battery.
Anybody else figure that out ???

Im not 100% sold on this as I hardly ever listen to the radio. mine is off more than on as I have a S/C whine and PYPES exhaust that I listen to
however I have heard that the Shaker 500/1000 will drain the battery. I have battery issues after my cars sits for a week or more with the radio off. I now pull the battery cable.

My car sits fow 2 weeks out of the month and so far no battery problems. Is this a future problem that I will be dealing with ?

I've had an aftermarket radio for half my cars life and the only problem i've had electrically is the build up of oxidation on the battery terminals. Pulling roughly 88 rms/200 peak from the head unit and 500 rms/ 1500 peak from the sub.

I haven't had a battery problem either, shaker 500, does it have something to do with the s/c?

I have the 500 system and had issues before the SC. There must be something in the radio that sucks the juice if the switch is not turned off. My car can sit for weeks now with no problems. In the winter since I don't drive it unless it's a dry day I will keep a trickel charger on it. I have one that plugs into the accesory jack on the dash and it works great.

I've turned off all accessories from day one and I'm going on 3 1/2 years on the original battery.

I don't do anything special. It'll sit for a week here and there and even sat for 3 weeks this summer. No issues so far with the battery.
