There actually are 2 toned light bars on here. I forget the member's name but he has a 2007 GT vert in vista blue like me with a blue/black light bar. I think its from MRT

What I don't understand is why people race their convertible. If you want to race, get a coupe.

Here's an old thread on a real roll bar that can be installed on a convertible:

If money is a factor (like in my case) and you can't have a coupe and a vert. I suggest you find out what kind of a driver you are. Me, I like a long relaxed cruise through a historic country road. I like road course racing also, but the needle tips a little bit towards cruising than racing. So I got me a vert and so glad I did.

Light bars? I like the way it looks on a Mustang, but I don't like how it blocks the view when the top is down. But if I ever get one, it's all for looks, not for protection. Want protection? Get a real rollbar.

I wish somebody would make a quick detachable roll bars by removing pins at the cut off points so the vert crowd can go racing safely whenever they want to.

A "helmet" is not going to keep you from cracking your head open from a wipe out or accident but it may help minimize damage from the lighter impacts. its "Better than Nothing".
I'm not sure it would be - if the windshield frame isn't going to help, the lightbar probably won't either, and there is the potential danger of the curved metal bar failing in the wrong place and then you have a steel bar actually intruding into the driver's space and farther than the ground would if the bar wasn't there.

Admittedly it'd take a really specific angle of roll (and some bad luck) to do that, but I just thought it worth mentioning.

CDC currently has a bunch of styling bars on sale-no lights. For sure, a vert is not a track car. If track is what you want, get a coupe.
