2005+ Mustang Used Values on Roush Shelby GT packages

Are there any good links or resources for finding depreciation and used car values on the 2005+ Mustangs that came with the Roush 427R, Shelby GT, and/or Saleen packages?

I was wondering if purchasing one of these used would be a better
value than adding all the mods yourself.

I believe NADA lists the GT500's but not the Roush cars. I was told they want to list Roush Mustangs but were having a tough time collecting enough sales history to give honest info in their guides. There are some tremendous deals out there right now with the tanked economy, both on new and very low mileage used cars. I just bought a '08 427R with less than 600 miles on it. I got it for $18,000.00 less than Roushes MSRP. Shop around and have some patience, there are deals to be had.

This late in the game you would be better off finding one with the mods already on. You should be able to get a tuner car(Shelby GT, Roush stage 1) for around ~$33K . You couldn't buy a new GT and add all the extras including labor for that. Notice I said including labor. You could still add them yourself for cheaper but not much.

If they play, I spray.

Thanks Porky Pig. Good Price on the 427R; better than anything I've seen.

I agree with you Mr Kurgan on used tuners, as I would definitely be paying a pro for labor. I guess as long as the miles are low and they have not been totally dogged I'd be okay.

So thanks for the advice and I'll continue to shop.

That's a good price on the 427R. I traded in my 2005 Mustang GT for a 2008 Roush 427R last year, but I didn't get much of a deal at all then. Not to make anyone feel bad, but I LOVE the 427R, it drives and handles so much better than the stock Mustang GT!
