First time logging in since I got back from Afghanistan, H.I.D suggestions please?

What's up, I haven't been on or home since before last Christmas :kooky:

I've been completely out of the loop on my car, and my girlfriend is bugging the hell out of my for christmas gift ideas and she said, "I know you want HID's for your car.."

Anybody have suggestions for hid kits? I've got an 06 gt
I was looking at the HID Dual Beam Headlight Conversion Kit for 05-09 Mustang (H13 Bulb) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! for the headlights and HID Single Beam Fog Light Conversion Kit for 05-09 V6 Mustang (H11 Bulb) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! for the foglights.

Any suggestions on what to go with? I like pure white, if anything a nice blue tint and I definetly wanted to put hid's in for the foglights.

Help!!!

hey whats up man. glad your back home and safe and sound.

Are you sure you want HID's?? I mean they are a pain, i think, and i dont think they do too much more for quality of lighting and color than some of the bulbs like silverstar or something. you thought about just going with somehting like that and putting the money to better use?

I recommend HIDGUY.net i got mine from here and they are great! it took me 30 mins to install them they have a complete plug and play system. I have not had any issues with them i have had them for about 8 months. I love them and would put them on any vehicle i have. it makes night driving 10 times better. They also have great service. I have 6000k on all four with dual beams for driving lights and single for the fogs.

2008 mustang gt with bassani x-pipe and borla stingers. 6000k HID lights on all 4

I have Silverstar bulbs and they just don't seem like they do much different :-\
I didnt try SilverStar Ultra's, they didnt have them in h13 at the time

The 8k looks really nice and close to what I wanted. Is the 10k very blue? Is it still bright? i tried searching for pics, no luck :-\

yeah i think the ultras are the ones where i have seen the difference on friends of mines cars. ill get new ones when i get new head lights in a month or 2. i didnt look at the links, but how much you planning to spend on the HID's? I mean if you just like the cool colors that come with them, then by all means get em. i love the look, but just couldnt see spending the money on em. then again, im a performance over looks kinda guy.

I was going to put a lot into performance, instead I bought an 09 cbr 600 :-\.

I'm just going to throw some foose nitrous rims on, a light tint, shorty antenna, clear led taillights and hids. Just to set it aside a little bit. I have magnapacks on here now.

But yeah the foglights and heads are 285 total from hidguy.

It's my understanding that HID lights are illegal. The factory ones have mechanical shades that adjust the beam, aftermarket cheap units do not.
