My Bullitts are similar -- they are not 100% perfectly smooth, a slight "vibration" at some speeds is a good way to describe it.

I have a feeling it is caused by minor flaws that a normal spin balance will not correct. Like maybe the wheels are slightly out of round, so even if they are balanced they will not ride perfectly smooth.

That said, it is not bad enough that I have even made the effort to get them rebalanced. Like you, I might do that this spring. Will be interested to hear if you have any luck.

And they look great on the car, which is what I was after when I bought them.

Did you take off the little clips that hold on the brake rotors? Aftermarket wheels don't always clear those clips, and will cause the car to feel like the tires are not balanced. If you haven't removed those, try taking them off and see if that helps.

I can't speak for jdm, but I know I removed them for sure. The wobble you get with those in there is much worse than the minor vibration that I get with my AM wheels and tires. (ask me how I know . . . )

I did, and it still does vibrate. It's only at a certain period of speed so it's not always noticeable.

Fair enough. It was something I didn't know about until recently. I wasn't sure if it was common knowledge or not.

My two cents, I've been on AM GT500 replicas for two and a half years. No problems whatsoever. They are great wheels for the money. I occasionally use Meguiar's spray wax on them after I wash the car and they look almost new. (I've probably put 50k miles on them)
