Any Suggestions? Help ! 2006 Mustang cuts out at 70miles per hour scary

Hi My 2006 GT Automatic Convertable cuts off the power at exactly 70mpn it is fitted with a edlebrock e force supercharger and other mods all were done by a reputable company in Austin I imported the car 6 months ago and once the UK compliance changes were made went down south to pick the car up all the way back ( 500 miles ) the car kept cutting off the power at exactly 70mph the stateside garage cannot help as they asy it was OK when it left I have tried to find out who reset what in the UK but no luck so far, can it be. Fuel, Emmission ssettings, mechanical software what can make a motor cut out at the same speed all the time ? when it is stopped and put in Neutral it starts back up immidiately and will go for miles on end withou any issue providing it is kept at sixty something..no fun for this motor ? The local Ford dealer can't help as the setting on the car are nothing like he uses for his motors ( no superchargers on theirs )

Can anyone please help ?

PJ

With a tuner, you can set the top speed limiter to whatever you want. If I had kids, I'd set it to 45MPH Maybe someone was playing with the tune to pass UK emissions and got carried away with having fun.

Can you drive in a lower gear, at 69MPH? That would tell if it's a rev-limiter or a speed-limiter problem.

If it drives fine up to 70, then stops you there, I'd guess speed-limiter and someone thinking it'd be funny to "limit" the car to make you look foolish, in your "fast American car". Take a trip down to the place that did the work and bring along Team NutPunch.

Any Ford dealer can reset the speed limiter to [OFF] or whatever top speed you'd like.

2006 Black, GT, spoiler delete, five speed, leather, custom welded straight pipes with resonators, sequential turn signals, Hurst Pro Performance shifter. FRPP 4.10s with Motive bearing kit, Spydershaft one piece aluminum driveshaft, w/ Spicer 1330 U-joints, Steeda UCA and LCAs, chrome moly panhard rod. bye bye wheel hop, hello traction! SCT XCalII, BBK CAI, ZEX 100 shot.
I've written a book or two. Google David Buschhorn to laugh at my scribblings.
