Pull the front bumper cover. Much easier than trying to release the tabs from behind the grill.

You bet... Now if you're careful you can release the black tabs from behind but I've seen folks break stuff that way. The bumper cover is reeally a breeze to take off. Two bolts under the hood, a few push pins on the wheel well liners and a few screws on the belly pan.

Dude I am sorry about the fitment

Man I am sorry it didn't fit I dont know why. I made another thread on this but if someone knows and reads this first I would love to know it came off a 2008 GT and I belive his is a 2008 V6 I didn't think there was a difference in front bumpers or grills

Yeah man that really sucks. I love the grill. It was exactly what Ive been wanting. And it would look great if it fitted. I dont understand why it doesnt. That makes no sense to me at all. And believe me we did everything we could to slide it in. But it just wasnt happening. I mean it was a good inch to big.

Grilling the grill...

The V8 GT grill will work in a V6, it will require some trimming and such. The GT bumper is slightly different and can hold the bigger grill. Do a forum search on grills. It has been discussed before and you should get it to work fine.

A: Cost
B: Could look horrible, if its not done right.

No Man I got nothing

I wish someone with a GT wanted it so you could just ship it to them but that not going to happen quickly. If you ship it back to me through a UPS terminal it will only be $15 bucks and that was with $110 of insurence I will refund your money and half of your shipping charge. I know it sucks man I am trying to sell this stuff to buy a turbo now I losing instead of gaining funds and you were trying to add more flare to your Stang neither of us came out on top.

I guess better luck next time.

here's a link where you can buy a GT take-off bumper for $200.00 NewTakeOff.com | Mustang GT Front Bumper. You could then use the grill you just bought.

Maybe someone can chime in that has done the procedure. It is interior trimming and moving the horn bracket or something. I ended up getting the pny package grill that fits into a V6 without trimming. (i went with them because i did not want to trim).

There was a guyon ebay that had a grill set that did not require trimming. They have a local shop near me and I went and talked to them. They were my second choice. If you want i can dig up the link/seller info.

Sorry i could not help more.
