2007 Mustang GT Vinyl Stripes?

The Black dealer installed stripes on my Grey 07 GT are fading and look like crap unless you armor-all them and they look good for 3 days. About 20 years ago I used a 3M product that sprayed on and melted the plastic stripes on a Toyota truck and then you just scraped it off with a plastic spatula. Left the paint OK.

Is there still a product like that available? Anyone pay to have the stripes removed? Anyone install new stripes over the old ones? Anyone have any suggestions at all? Besides sell it and by a 2011.

Thanks

Rocko

They should peel off just fine. The guy took mine right off without using anything when he replaced them

I used some stuff called vinyl off and about 11 hours of my time but my stripes had been neglected by the previous owners and sat in the sun for 5 years. Needless to say there were tons of cracks so the vinyl did come off easy but in tiny chunks because it was so cracked. Oh and a hairdryer is good too I think heat guns are too hot but others will say differently.

i'll let you know how my stripe removal goes cause i am doing it soon to my car.

I believe they will peel off fine, then just spray on a degreaser to remove the residue left by the glue
