Flowmaster AT Muffler get's HOT!

Well I gave it a chance, I tried to like the sound but it's just not what (I) am looking for. Tonight after I drove My Mustang I noticed the (smell) from the new muffler wich is Normal I know but it also smelled Hot. So I felt the Rear Bumper Cutout by the Muffler and the Bumper Plastic was Hot and there was like a moisture on it. Too Me it was TOO Hot and Im worried it will either Melt or Discolor My Rear Bumper so it's comming off. The Chrome Exhaust Pipe on the Muffler is a-lot Bigger than the Factory Mufflers Pipe and almost fills the cut-out on the Bumper, it's just too close to it and being that it gets so Hot Im not gonna take a chance in Ruining My Bumper.
Has anyone else noticed this that has this Muffler. Sorry Flowmaster but there's just too many things I Dont like about this Muffler, besides the awful sound and now the heat it produces is enough for me.

Mabey someone will read this and give me some advice. I figured I'd sell My Flowmaster American Thunder Axel back Muffler in the Classifides, so I went there......do you have to give part of your money like a ebay sale to the Forum?? I cant find out what to do or how to sell it, can anyone help?
It only has about 50 miles on it and is brand new still, I'd sell it for $100 plus shipping, any one need it? It's just not for me, many like it and are happy with it but Im going Duals.

Garage
I wouldnt worry too much about the bumper unless of course the muffler is exiting into the rear of it. I`ve seen pics of muffler tips right up against the bumper with no apparent issues.
What exhaust did you settle on?

Im going with Duals from (NTO) Newtakeoff.com It's a complete system (Stainless) off a GT with less than 10 miles on it, or close to it. It comes with everything for the Exhaust from the Ctas Back including the Drivers Side Muffler Hanger, Bumper Cut out Template amd GT Mufflers, all for $299 plus shipping!
Im not one for Loud so the GT Take Offs should do the trick, from what I've read they have a nice sound. Im not into Raspy, just want a little Rumble
