Caliper Paint price??

Hey guys im thinking about getting my brake calipers painted red here in the next month or so, and was wondering how much you think it would cost to get done at a respectable show, and how long the paint will last on them? Thanks, Jacob

I did the set on my dually over 5 years ago & they still look great. I cleaned them of rust, wiped them down with lacquer thinner & sprayed them with engine paint. They still look as good as the day I sprayed them. It cost me less than 10 bucks.

Obama whines that we don't build stuff like the Hoover Dam anymore. With his EPA in charge nothing CAN get built.....ANYMORE!

I painted mine also with the The Dupli-Color Caliper Paint Kit.
It's all in the prep work. Clean the calipers really well, then clean and dry them again I used 3 coats and its holding up well.

you can do it yourself and save some money or you could have them powdercoated. from experience, your better off having them powdercoated as the paint will last longer and look better.

Reggie (rlg34750) in the 5.0 section owns a powdercoating buisness in florida and does some fantastic work for members here on the forum. id talk to him about doing them, hes doing mine

Well i live all the way in MO, and i have a body shop guy that does all the stuff for my car, so i'll probably go to him for it. I was just curious how much people usually pay to have them done.?

I called a place around here that's (supposedly) very well known for doing that type of thing, and they told me they'd charge around $100-150 to paint them.

A few caveats; that was painted with paint that I provided ($10) and painted with the calipers on. He said it would cost a lot more to remove them. Also, he would clean them first (so the paint would stick).
