I can see why. They're affordable and have similar to more power than the 2011's. The 2003-2004 cobra's even seem to be scarce.

The 5.0 GT perferably the BOSS. the 5.0 has more power stock and a blower can be added for more power. If the BOSS is an option I would go that route due to even more power than the normal 5.0 plus it has a fordged bottom end, less builing needed later boosted applications. I don't think any of the late model mustangs are going to become collector cars like the '60s did.

Forged bottom end, Ported heads, Saleen super charger, 2.8 blower pulley/15psi, Dual stage water to air intercooler, AFCO heat exchanger, battery relocated, Twin GT500 fuel pumps, T-56 trans, Aluminum flywheel, Aluminum driveshaft, 3.73 rear gears, Eaton TruTrac Diff, TA Performance rear end girdle, Racecraft suspension system, UCA, LCA, panhard bar, 15" slotted front rotors w/ 6 piston calipers, Carbon Fiber front splitter/rear diffuser, and bunch of other stuff
RWHP/RWTQ is adequate

I'd go with the '11 5.0 -- but I wouldn't mind owning both

A low mileage 03/04 Cobra can go for anywhere from 20-30K...easily.

10K won't even buy a higher mileage Cobra.

1969 Boss 429, always wanted one, loved the looks of the '69 mustang and the rarity of the Boss 429.

2008 Black Mustang GT/CS, 5 speed manual, G/T appearance package, FRPP 4.10 gears, Charcoal Aluminum interior panel, Interior upgrade. Roush TVS stage 1 SC , Stang Hi dyno-jet 93 Oct tune, Pypes LT's X-pipes and delete mufflers, MGW shifter.

I just did a search and the cheapest svt cobra i found within 500 miles was a 03 for $9500 and it was wrecked and needs repairs. The average price i found was around $23-$26 grand

Aesthetics wise, the 2010+ style wins for me, but overall package?

03-04 Cobra, hands down... IRS, supercharged 4.6 4v, six speed, oh yeah, and a set of those GORGEOUS 10th anniversary wheels...
