Post Can i put strips over my current strips?

The racing strips i have on my car now i dont really like but theyve been clear coated over so i was wondering if i could just lay new strips over my current ones.

Any help is thanked.

you can but im sure you already considered that they are going to look layered. the more layers the cheaper it will look.

I personaly like the shelby stripe look dont care much for the V6 bumper put a shelby GT/CaliSpec Front Fascia on there and it wound look mean.

oh sorry you got a Gt there but the an upgraded bumper would still be an improvement

Do not put them over your existing stripes. If you want it to look good do it right. I worked in a sign shop for years and that is one thing you don't do is lay over existing stripes. Assuming they are vinyl and not painted of course. It would look terrible if you layered hem. Get 3m adhesive remover a heat gun squeegee and time. Please do it properly lol

They're cleared over. Adhesive remover wont do anything.

In that case, I wouldn't do anything with it unless you want to strip it and do it the right way.

Appreciate it guys. Yeah they've ben clear coated over the previous owner did that. Ive actually just contiuned his shelby clone look and made it better.

I also have looked into the cs/gt front end and its $349.99 non-painted so that puts me at having to have it painted also.
