need advice: Strut brace for 2008 GT

which Strut brace would most of you recommend.. I know there are many options out there. This is just for street use, no racing. We drove the car from NJ-SC last week and rode great except I'd like it to be a little tighter up front. I assume a strut brace will help a lot.. thanks!!

They're all pretty much the same. I went with a Shelby one when American Muscle had it. Not the aluminum bar one. I chose to go with one that uses 4 bolts on each side rather than just two because I figured it might be a bit stronger.

I made the same choice for the same reason, plus the shape of the mounting plate conforms to the tower for a very effective anchor. I did before-after-before-again testing to confirm the difference.

Someone will tell you the only one that is really worth while is the Granatelli one that connects to both the strut towers and the firewall. I will say the firewall isn't strong enough to make any appreciable difference.

You may be able to detect some improvement in a coupe; you'll definitely see a difference in a convertible.

I just bought the Stack Racing Chrome Strut Tower Brace from AmericanMuscle, haven't got it yet still got another day or two for shipping! Although there are SEVERAL reviews saying 5/5 and swearing it makes a huge difference especially on the highway or at high speeds. I will be sure to let you know when I get it on!

MUSTANG SCOTT DRAKE BLACK STRUT TOWER BRACE V6 GT 2005-2010

FYI this DOES in fact clear the stock Plenum cover (if you have that)

My understanding is that Scott Drake and Shelby are congruent for some parts, including this one. I have it on my coupe with the Shelby plate and the Ford plenum shroud (Ford's language). No clearance problems there.

I have the Shelby billet bar on the convertible; it would not fit over a plenum shroud. I tried it on the coupe and it was a no-go because of the shroud.

I'd recommend a double bar with all four bolts on each side, like this one: 05-09 Mustang Double Strut Tower Brace

Thx regarding the 4 bolt braces!! i have noticed some only use 2 bolts, but i now assume they can't be as strong as the 4 bolt ones?? Glad I posted this query
