Plasti Dip Vinyl Racing Stripes

Need some advice from those that have used plasti dip. How do you or what do you recommend doing to keep edges crisp and in intact. My vinyl stripes are fading bad so I figured I'd give plasti dip a try to see how they look. I like the look but the edging is jagged. Are you guys taping all the way to the edge or using an exacto knife to cut the edge and peel away? Thanks. Attached are two pics of the before and after on my test stripe.

I did stripes.

I explain how it's done in there but what you do is spray about 3 coats worth at once and pull the tape right away. This gives you a straight edge because the paint is still wet.

I've made a quick example for you. Spray and tear of the tape right away. Best way to do this is to tape it like the picture below. You'll have 100% control of tearing it off and you reduce the chance that you damage your fresh dip because there is no news paper attached to the tape. You can easily peel the overspray.
