My wife's hair

I have an 05 mineral grey premium V6 convertable. I know its winter time, but as long as its not raining I like puttin the top down. My only problem is that Ford does'nt offer a windstop for the new models YET. I did find a plexi glass job that attaches to the headrest with bungie cords. Since this isnt my F100, I;m staying away from the bungie's. Anybody come across a windstop that looks factory, thats not an 04' modified, or read about one comming up. I still think it should have come from the factory with these options in place, my wife has long blonde hair that I like , it just does'nt look cool stuffed in a baseball cap. any idea's.....about the windstop that is??

Make her ride in the trunk. Problem solved.

2005 GT Premium, torch red, all available factory options.
Performance mods: Lets just say it's not stock.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

This IntelliTXT stuff sucks.

Aside from Hawgman's perfect solution; have her up it up in a pony (get it, pony?) tail. My wife has long blonde hair and the wind doesn't bother her with it in a pony tail when the top is down.

If she doesn't like it, tell her that's why it is called a "pony" tail. Point to the front grill.

Say: "That's where the name came from... look it up."

2006 Black, GT, spoiler delete, five speed, leather, custom welded straight pipes with resonators, sequential turn signals, Hurst Pro Performance shifter. FRPP 4.10s with Motive bearing kit, Spydershaft one piece aluminum driveshaft, w/ Spicer 1330 U-joints, Steeda UCA and LCAs, chrome moly panhard rod. bye bye wheel hop, hello traction! SCT XCalII, BBK CAI, ZEX 100 shot.
I've written a book or two. Google David Buschhorn to laugh at my scribblings.

Forget the hair

So nobody has imfo about the windstop then, it would be cheaper to buy a windstop if I could find, then to tell my wife what to do. Maybe a letter to Ford's R & D department would help.

I've never done it, but have you tried riding with the windows up?

someone's bound to come out w/something you like. Or, you could design & arrange for manufacture & sale.

I'm back - 2001 Cobra convertible, 84K miles, acquired 12/10/11; just beginning to figure out what it needs to be right (beyond the leaky top..) - top to be done 12/27. Changed the coolant, trans. fluid, oil, differential fluid. Replaced the LF wheel hub assy. Ordered a pair of Blisteins for the rear. Next up: full-length subs, strut brace, stainless brake hoses F&R and a bunch of FatMat.

you could consider putting in one of the CDC light bars that mimic the old Shelbys. then buy a piece of plexiglass and fab a couple mount brackets. Shouldn't be hard, plus I think the light bars are seriously cool.

2005 Satin Silver GT 5spd, IUP, ICAP, bullits, active alarm, lug locks, side a!rbags, shaker 500, XM Roady 2, JLT cold air, Xcal2 w/ SCT 93 oct tune, & custom fab'd ram air duct, BMR Sway Bars, Hurst Competition plus shifter
Custom blackout on hood and trunk with Steeda street wing and Ford Racing hood pins

The long hair gets in the way.......Especially at certain times. Keep it in the pony or STAY OUT.

My wife and I both have almost waist-length hair...one of the main reasons I didn't get a vert.
