That is on all new cars, it requires a court order to access the information, usually when it involves a fatal accident.

Thanks for the info from the manual. I went out at lunch and finally hooked up the magnetic "belt guide". Funny, I had heard about this feature, but was thinking that the belt clip itself somehow stuck to a magnet on the seat.

Anyway, all set now. Thanks again for the clarification.

Very cool, will have to look for it.

Has anyone seen the thingy in the stereo that lets you tell it how much to turn it's volume up, based on how fast you are going? Mine is set to five, I think, and that is about right. It only goes to seven. Otherwise I have to keep fiddling with the knobs, while I am driving.

I've written a book or two. Google David Buschhorn to laugh at my scribblings.

My speed volume is set to 3.

I purchased a coin holder from Target for $5. Its a black plastic holder that fits in a cup holder. It holds silver in the top and the bottom opens for that copper crap they push. Mine sits in the arm rest. Easy access, less mess. :laughlitt

It's not compression, the volume will go up as you go faster, I think the settings are between 1-5. but you can also turn it off.
