Rental Tax

Had to take my 2005 F350 in for a rear main leak at 5,500 miles. They were going to have it for 3 days so I needed a rental. They tried to make me pay for tax on the rental....NO WAY, had to argue with service manager on the phone. Here's what pisses me off, I bought 2 new Ford's last year, GT Mustang and F350 Lariat, both loaded out with options. So Ford gets $80,000 and I'm making payments and they want to give me a $15,000 rental and then PAY TAX!! Yeah it's only $6 but it's the point. I'm going to go on a crusade and go on every Ford or truck site and get people to write Ford and complain, this must stop!! It's an INSULT to their customers! I've written and got back a we're sorry? Please go to Ford MOCo and write. Thanks,

THE BOMB

Thats probably just in your county/city/state, I didnt have to pay anything here, back in 02,when my ford was in the shop. Sounds like policy at your patiuclar ford dealer. I would shop around, and make sure that your dealer principle knows you are.

Good Luck!

I see your pain, but even if you win the lotto, prizes etc, you have to pay tax on them.
