Will a K&N drop in filter throw off the cpu in a 06 gt?

I am pretty sure it wont throw a cel, but I have also heard that there aren't many gains to be had, with the drop in. It took me a while to save the cash, but the Tunable Induction from John DeMolet is the way to go, you must get the combo with the SCT 2. The puter must be reflashed. It is $575.

Good Luck!

A drop in filter can cause a check engine light and will give very little additional gain.

I put a K&N filter in mine 2 weeks after I got my car. Never had a check engine light or any other problems with it. I believe it did help with throttle response a little but not much. Replaced it with a JLTII CAI/XcalII from Evolution Performance a few weeks ago. Save up and get a CAI/XcalII.
