Decision between 03 Cobra and 07 GT

Im currently in the market fora mustang and am stuck in my decision.. There are a few 03-04 corbas in my area for sale but i have wanted to get the 05 body style mustang since i saw the concept sooo long ago. But i found an 03 cobra with 2,500 miles on it.. if you had the choice and both cars cost the same which would you go for?

It's an easy choice for the new one.
The my color dash,
The styling,
Heated seats,
A 36 month guarantee, etc.

Cobra........ The stock bottom end on those 03-04 cobras can handle 700 HP. With one SLP performance bolt on kit, you can make an 03-04 cobra 575 HP.

The body style alone made me want to buy the 05 (had to get a 06) didn't care for them since the 80's.
You also don't know how hard that cobra was driven by the previous owner

If the Cobra was Competition Orange I would go for it. Or if is a 10th aniversary model. Remember Cobra's are a limited production car and will hold value that a GT won't. Good luck and either way congrats on being able to make that tough decision!

I was trying to make the same decision. Only thing that held me back was being worried what the previous owner did to it. I mean you know they ripped into it. I know I would. I loved the new body style but then again, the '04s are pretty tricked out from the factory and fast as hell. sometimes I regret getting the '05 instead of the Cobra cuz I always wanted a Cobra. I woulda gotten an '05/'06 Cobra if they made one and charged 33k like the yused to for it.

If I had the choice again, I would have a hard time deciding. I hope SVT takes over again in the future and makes some affordable Cobra's and not these special edition collectibles.

Just a hair off topic, but it looks like the SVT is no longer:

So whats guna happen to the Cobra? Are we destined from now on to exorbant prices on Shelbies that only the few can afford?

If you're not worried about voiding a warranty you could mod the 05/06 with a few bolt-ons and push it way past the 03/04 for the price difference.
