How much longer????????????????

Two questions for those in the know: 1. How many GT500's can they build in one week ? 2. How long does it take from start to finish on the assembly line for a single GT500? Not that I'm counting days!!!!

Most likely hardly any difference between the GT500's and the regular Mustangs. The only thing different is some parts and the quanity produced.
Look at the beginning of this thread: https://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ad.php?t=34764, it tells you how you can track your car.

As far as 'How many GT500's can they build in a week?' is concerned.

The numbers that have been reported was that they're going to produce 7,000 GT500's in the 2007 model year. Allowing for a 50 week manufacturing period do to xmas and other holiday shut down periods.

That would eqaute to 7000 / 50 = 140 GT500's per week at the SVT facility in Romeo, Michigan.

Just got off the phone with my dealer who says that the GT500 will also come from the Mazda plant in Flat rock, same as the regular Mustangs.
Just found that the GT500's engines will be built in Romeo.

Alas, the SVT program is shutting down.
