Question 3.90 gears?

I have not been able to find FRPP 3.90's...My car is a daily driver and I travel on the highway every day so I think I want to go with the 3.90 over the 4.10...any recommendations???

Thanks!!!

I've been doing some research and calculating numbers/ratios also. My driving is just around town, no highway. So I've decided that 4.10 would be optimal for me. I don't think I would want 4.10 if I were spending much time in the highway.

When did they start making 3.90 gears for an 8.8 rear? Are you looking at 9 inch rear gears instead?

FRPP doesn't make a 390, but Motive does. http://www.mustangtuning.com/motive390.html Use the calculator in the tech section to figure out your rpms at any given speed to see which gears are best for you.

Question: Does the '05/'06 Mustang GT have an 8.8" rear end or a 9" rear end?

I have heard the Motive 3.90s are noisy as hell. Which sucks because I would like to run 3.90s also.

2005 GT Premium, torch red, all available factory options.
Performance mods: Lets just say it's not stock.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

This IntelliTXT stuff sucks.
