BBK Varitune axle back exhaust

New mustang owner and new to the forums. I've been researching axle backs for months now and came across the BBK varitune axle backs. I can't find much feedback or reviews out there and was hoping someone could enlighten me? If you don't know about the varitune system, it allows you to adjust the sound.
Thank you.

My wife bought it for me on my 30th birthday... lucky me...everyone needs a sugar mama.
All stock so far...

Probably no reviews because no one has it. Because it's retarded.

HuskerRed,

The Varitune axleback is pretty cool IMO. When tweaking the "adjustable power valve," you can alter the exhaust volume/tone by 8-10 decibels. I personally, like this feature because you can make your own exhaust tone that you like the best. Since everyone has different opinions in exhaust, it's nice to have the adjust-ability to find your "sweet spot."

Have you seen the video we made comparing the different settings with our 2006 GT? It posted it below if you haven't yet.

"Retarded?" Why exactly?

I think it's a great idea but the price is a little much.

Agreed. Excellent idea. Would be nice to be a stock feature on the Mustang IMO.

I did watch the video posted on American Muscle but was hoping to find other videos. My concern is the potential for rust and/or corrosion on the adjustment bolt. I was hoping for some feedback regarding x-pipe or h-pipe additions or the amount of drone they produce. Regardless it would be nice to adjust the sound/tone to your liking.
Thank you.

Gotcha. I haven't seen too many other videos out there yet. If I come across one I'll post it up for you.

You won't have to worry about the adjustment corroding. It's full stainless steal and has been heavily tested by BBK. This was a key feature to their muffler system and really wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any problems down the road.
