My White Pony and Mini-Pony!

Thought I'd share this... I waited for months until the model kit was released so I could do a replica of my real car. Been building model cars since I was a kid...this one turned out pretty cool.

Thanks! I made the stripes myself, since the model only comes with rally stripes. The only difference from my real car is that the model is a GT. But I just put the pony grille/fog lights on my real car, so it looks a bit closer to the model

The interior is very detailed...including the chrome rings around the gauges and air vents.

Kind of a silly question, but yep, just for fun. What other purpose would there be?

I use to build models and had some success in "big boy" model shows. I think you did an excellent job. Last year I sold most of my model collection on E-bay and got some pretty good money for some of them. I used the money for the mods I did to my 05 Mustang. If you want to make some extra dollars you might try a couple of Mustang models on E-bay. Or maybe place a classified to do Mustang models. I wish at times I hadn't sold my model building stuff so I could do one of my car.

I did the same thing. My wife thought I was nuts after I climbed out from under the car for the third time just to find out what color a certain component was. I'm anal that way. Nobody's ever going to see it, but it had to be painted just right. I display the model on my rear deck during car shows.

'05 Sonic Blue GT w/ '07 V8 engine, 5-sp, IUP, Beige leather interior, nothing else -
just the way I wanted it. (1 of 113)
OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

I have built models for people before. I have attached an example of a '74 Road Runner that a guy commissioned me to build. He sent me photos of his real car, and I copied it, right down to the license plates. Just a fun hobby (usually during the boring winter months).

But I've always wanted to do a model of my own actual car. Until I got the Mustang, there's never been a kit available for the car I owned ('96 Monte Carlo, '98 Sebring).
