Stock 1/4 mile times

I was just visiting this site:

http://musclecarranch.com/musclecarstats.htm

thinking of the good old days back in 1974 with my big block '68 Chevelle. I've got an old timeslip for 10.81 around here somewhere.

If I had a track close by, I'd go test my stock '06 GT automatic. Oh well.

I wonder what is typical for stock GTs with stick and auto. I looked in the timeslip section, but can't seem to search for 05+.

Care to share what your getting or got with a stock Stang?

Your looking at (depending on driver) 13.3-14.3

I have personally never say one that was truely stock get below a 13.8.

i agree with kyle on this one. the best i have ran bone stock is a 14.1. the fastest i have seen one run is 13.9.

as far as stick vs auto, many swear the auto is 1/10th faster than the stick. i personally doubt that since most factory autos have a very sluggish tune. plus the auto has 3:23 vs the sticks 3:55 rear end. i think the auto could be faster than the stick with a custom tune, but i doubt it stock.

I like my stang, just picked it up on the 30th, but this is the slowest car I've owned in a long time. The stock ECU really prevents you from shifting under power cleanly, plus it's tuned for 87, and the throttle response is softned up to nanny the drivetrain. That said it feels like it might pull a high 13...

Didn't motor trend run a 13.5? And R&T ran a 13.9, Car and Driver a 13.7 I think. I remember there was a guy on here a while ago that posted a time of 13.6 bonestock.

big block chevelles are in the same range....low 14, high 13s stock 68-70

Weight is about 3200 lbs. LS6 cars were 450HP/500TQ, and were low 13s cars.

10.81 is not very good for the 8th mile ....must have been modded.

I ran a 13.92 @99.40 I was very disappointed. My best 60' was 2.035 and a 8.80 1/8 mile which should have been a 13.70 or better but I never could get it

8850...thats what I would have liked to seen nice run!

Saleen S/C 3.2 pulley. Chris Rose tune.

Thanks Mick! It was 65 degrees that night so I did have some help from the air. Don't know what the DA was.
