Question Looking for 2006 Mustang HID's (not Saleen)

Anyone put aftermarket hid's not saleen lights on a 05/06. I put some on last night and they go on and off alternating sides. I checked all the connections. I am thinking they dont have enough current. They plug in to the factory harness. Any ideas?Sometimes they go off completely but turn the light switch off and back on and they come right back on.

My understanding is that true HIDs need more power, that's one of the reasons the saleen ones are so darn expensive.

Its all about which balasts you using. The saleen kit is expensive because it uses a whole new headlight assembly that gives you high beams using a reflector. Some ballasts need a certain amount of current for them to fire, some dont.. If your having the same problems as the guy above.....use the high beam wires...your gonna loose your high beams anyways if you dont use the saleen kit. the cost for the universal kits are under $300. saleen kit is about 800-900
