Brenspeed CAI install with pics

Well I finally got my intake and tunes in my car. I started with the 87 oct. tune and WOW, the car feel extremely different. The throttle response and how tight the car feels is amazing. It pulls very nice through all the gears. Now in high 4th and 5th gear is can still have a little passing power on the freeway. When i shift hard i can hear a nice air sucking sound. The car really opens up. The install took like 15 mins. It could be a 5min job, but needed to make sure everything was on properly. I will put my stamp of approval on this. Worth every weekend I worked to get this. Tell em what you think....

Yea no joke. That filter wasn't messing around when i took it out the box. It's almost as big as the inlet pipe.

How long do these filters usually last? Or how often do I have to change it if I even do?

You don't change it... Get a K&N cleaning/oiling kit. Normally you only need to clean every 50k or so unless you live in a really dusty area.

moose knuckle, what CAI is that and how big it the diameter of the MAF housing? I went with Brenspeed and the C&L racer CAI (95mm MAF housing) and love it. Wait until you get to the 93 octane tune! I picked up 3 mph in the quarter mile and almost 4 tenths of a second on stock street radials compared to before I added the CAI and Brenspeed 93 octane tune.

Like you said, YeeHaaww! Trottle response is amazing! Before, I had to downshift to 4th or even 3rd for passing on the freeway but now I can pass at a good clip staying in 5th gear. I only need to grab 4th on the freeway for those "special" situations.

That's the TI Titanium. Believe it's a 95mm MAF as well.

I got the TI titanium from brenspeed. im not sure how big the MAF housing is but it seems to do the job very well. when i actually turned down the music and hit it kind of hard i could really hear the sucking sound...

I also can't get the 93 octane tune because california only has 91 gas .

I was thinking about my driving and i think i need to kick back. that extra power in high gears and stuff is way too much fun. I will be putting the MAC direct fit to stock H-pipe on real soon also...btw do i have to have my tune changed when i get that put on, i dont think i do cuz im not moving the catts but im just wondering.

You shouldn't need to do anything to the tune. It's only when you add headers to the mix that you really affect the airflow.

Any particular reason why you want to change? What color are you looking for?

Im looking for a darker color like a black or dark grey. Just to change the look of it. Switch them sometimes just to mess around.
